Intake Associates are placement students and volunteers who work collaboratively to assist new and current clients with any booking and general inquiries. Intake associates are responsible for responding to phone calls and emails in a timely and empathetic manner, completing the intake form with new clients, attending meetings with all staff members, keeping the office tidy, and ensuring that clients have a warm and welcoming environment to wait in prior to their sessions. When did you start at PPTC? January 2018
Are you a placement student or a volunteer? I started as a placement student from January 2018- April 2018 and then continued on as a volunteer. I did my undergrad at the University of Guelph-Humber in Psychology. I graduated in June 2019.
What are your career goals? I am currently working on applying for my Master’s in Clinical Psychology, with the hopes of continuing on to my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. I hope to one day open up my own private practice as a Clinical Psychologist.

Are you a placement student or a volunteer? I started at PPTC as a placement student at the university of Guelph-Humber in third year, but I enjoyed it so much I decided to continue volunteering!
What are your career goals? I have finished my undergraduate degree in psychology, and am hoping to pursue a masters in clinical counselling, with the end goal of becoming a psychotherapist.

Are you a placement student or a volunteer? I am a Master of Psychology placement student from Adler Graduate Professional School.
What are your career goals? I want to be a clinician with a diverse approach and provide evidence-based psychotherapy.

Are you a placement student or a volunteer? I started as a volunteer and currently completing my practicum with PPTC from January 2022 - August 2022. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto and am on track to finishing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University by August 2022.
What are your career goals? As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I am looking forward to completing my clinical hours and gaining full licensure to start my own private practice and further pursue doctoral-level education.

Are you a placement student or a volunteer? I’m a volunteer. I’m currently a 4th year Undergraduate Psychology student at York University and intend to continue my position with Peel Psychology and Therapy Centre as I pursue graduate studies.
What are your career goals? I plan on pursuing my Masters and Ph.D in Counselling and Clinical Psychology to become a Clinical Psychologist. I am currently interested in pursuing a future career with The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

I am a placement student. I am currently in my fourth year as a Psychology undergraduate at University of Toronto. I hope to continue working with PPTC as I move forward with my studies.

I want to continue my education in a counselling graduate program. Ultimately, my goal is becoming a registered psychotherapist.

I am a volunteer. I am currently in my final semester as a Honours Psychology student at the University of Waterloo with a minor in HRM. I plan on continuing as an intake associate at PPTC as I pursue graduate studies.
