Dr. Euling Chong

PsyD., C.Psych, Psychologist

Dr. Chong is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She received her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Melbourne, Australia and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Psychology and Exceptionality in Human Learning from University of Toronto.

Dr. Chong has over 20 years of experience practicing psychology in hospital, school, community and private practice settings in the Peel Region. She has developed treatment programs for our culturally diverse patient population. In her role as a psychologist, she is honored to be able to help a wide variety of patients, both individually and through groups to improve the quality of their lives. She works with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. She enjoys interacting with each patient and their families, helping them face daily challenges while fostering a safe environment.

She has been providing assessment and treatment to a wide range of major psychological problems such as chronic complex trauma, variety of mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, chronic health and pain issues, childhood disorders, socioemotional, behavioural difficulties and emotional dysregulation. She incorporates various treatment modalities to meet the unique needs of each of her patients and their families. She uses play-based therapy in her assessment and treatment with children. She has a special interest in mindfulness-based practice and compassionate care.

Dr. Chong values the collaborative approach to assessment, consultation and treatment, working inter-professionally with the primary care team to provide quality care to patients in a holistic and seamless manner. She believes in working together to build a healthier community and giving back to our community. Helping people has been her lifelong passion.

Everyone should have the right to access, not just physical healthcare but quality mental health care in an affordable manner, and this has been her guiding principle in her work as a psychologist. 

Dr. Afsheen Anwar

Ph.D., C. Psych., Psychologist

Dr. Afsheen Anwar is clinical and counselling psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She holds a doctorate in Psychology from the University of Karachi, Pakistan.

Dr. Anwar has over 15 years of clinical experience including assessment and therapy with individuals, couples and families, and has worked in both individual and group settings.

Dr. Anwar has an integrative approach towards therapy where she carefully draws from a variety of therapeutic models and tailors to individual client’s needs. She also facilitates group psychotherapy and conducts personal and professional development workshops like enhancing relationship bonds for couples, effective parenting, improving emotional intelligence, managing anxiety etc.

Dr. Anwar is proficient in English, Urdu and Hindi.

Dr. Atif Shujah

Ph.D., C.Psych., Psychologist

Dr. Shujah is a Registered Psychologist in Clinical Psychology with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.  He has a comprehensive education in Psychology as he completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2013) and a Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology (2006) from the University of Regina; and a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology (2002) from the University of Toronto. He has expertise in the treatment and assessment of adult clients and has assisted many individuals to achieve their therapeutic and life goals.    

Dr. Shujah has fostered his clinical expertise through his experiences with the Regina Qu'appelle Health Region (RQHR); University of Regina; Prince Albert Mental Health Centre; and York University. He works successfully with a cultural diversity of adult clients on a range of issues (e.g., stress, grief, interpersonal functioning) and disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression). He provides comprehensive diagnostic; cognitive; and psycho-educational assessments for adults.   

Dr. Shujah is empathetic, non-judgmental, and compassionate in providing services that are sensitive to each client's unique needs and resources. He utilizes an integrative treatment approach with a particular focus on Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. He will assist you to identify and counter dysfunctional and maladaptive thoughts; behaviours; and emotions. Through adopting and refining cognitive, behavioural, and emotional skills you will be able to manage a range of clinical issues (e.g. depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, bereavement, interpersonal problems, and chronic pain).
