Vanessa completed her internship at Peel Psychology and Therapy Centre as part of her MEd program in Counselling and Psychotherapy with the University of Toronto. She also holds a BASc. In Psychology from the University of Guelph-Humber.
She has a background working with youth in the areas of academic success, employment, and career development. Vanessa is also interested in providing support for diverse individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and grief/loss.
Vanessa utilizes solution-focused therapy, CBT and mindfulness practices. Because each individual sees the world through their own personal lenses, belief systems and worldviews, Vanessa believes in the importance of integrating various therapeutic approaches to suit each unique need.
Vanessa also facilitates Meditation through Art community workshops at our clinic.
Michelle completed her B.A (Hons) from McMaster University and is currently completing her post-graduate internship (M.Div) in Clinical Counselling at Peel Psychology and Therapy Centre.
Michelle is interested in providing a client-centered therapy and counselling to individuals with depression, anxiety, marital problems, and family relationship problems. She has been training to provide various types of counselling based on the clients’ need, including Marriage and Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and Mindfulness.
Michelle loves to support individuals from all ages but has a particular interest in working with couples and families with relationship problems. Michelle values being open and non-judgmental when counselling her clients in order to provide the support they need during their difficult times.
Michelle will be seeing clients starting January 2021 and can provide counselling for free to individuals with financial difficulties upon request.
