Gabrielle is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Gabrielle has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Ryerson University.
Gabrielle has worked collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to provide mental health services and supports in the non-profit sector as well as the health care field. She has experience working with diverse and marginalized communities, providing individual and group counselling to address concerns related to anxiety, depression, life transition, self-esteem, isolation, and crisis management.
Gabrielle utilizes an integrated model of therapeutic practice which includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She works from a person-centred, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and strength-based framework. She values the power of self-awareness as a tool to gain valuable insight into the experiences, feelings and behaviors of her clients. Gabrielle believes that each person is the expert in their own life and considers it a privilege to assist her clients in finding the strength and resilience that lies within them.
